August Summer Camp 2011

Our LTA qualified coach Jamie Allen will be taking youngsters through a variety of tennis skills. Lots of fun and games with match play and competition. The coach will also focus on other sports such as football, Swedish handball and more. This is open to juniors aged 6+. Dates: Monday 22nd August, Tuesday 23rd August & Wednesday 24th August 2011. 9am to 1pm.

Junior Coaching Programme

The programme caters for juniors from ages 4 to 18 and it is in line with the LTA recommendation for tennis ball transition coaching. For details and prices please click the link below:

In order to participate in the junior programme registration is required. Please click on the link below to download a form then visit us and hand your completed form in.

Coaching is for members only but if you are not a member yet, you are welcome to try us for a couple of session to see if you would like to proceed further with your tennis development!

Development / ball transition structure:

Under 8s - Red Ball

This is the first stage of tennis development and is important for building skills and confidence. The focus starts on improving movement and ball skills as well as an introduction to rallying and playing the game. Children are then developed technically and tactically so that they can play the game successfully within the smaller court. Read More >>

Ages 8 and 9 - Orange Ball

Orange ball mini tennis is for players aged 8 and 9. It is played on slightly larger courts than red ball, with bigger rackets and balls that are not as soft as red balls. It’s the next stage to go through before the children start playing on a full sized court and it will help develop all the different shots, providing fun competition. Read More >>

Age 10 - Green Ball

The final stage before progressing to the full game is played with a green ball that bounces slightly lower than a normal tennis ball, allowing the children to improve their technique and rallying skills. Read More >>

Age 10 plus - Yellow Ball

Yellow ball competition is for players aged 11 and over. It is played on a full tennis court, with full size rackets and full compression yellow balls. It’s the last stage of your tennis development and the technique and skills that you have developed through the stages of mini tennis can now be put into practice. Read More >>
